1985
SERDAR PLASTİK was established. It began producing polyethylene packaging using semi-automatic blow molding machines at its factory in Kartal, Istanbul.
1992
We have started producing multi-layer (Coex) bottles using computer-controlled, fully automatic machines equipped with the latest technology.
1995
A quality control laboratory has been established where all tests applicable to inflatable packaging (Top Load, ESCR, Electronic Thickness Measurement, drop tests, etc.) can be performed. Automatic bottle labeling has commenced.
1996
It certified its quality system with the TS EN ISO 9002 certificate. In addition, it converted its entire production line to fully automated, computerized machines. All bottles began to be produced automatically and undergo 100% leak testing.
1997
Turkey’s largest mineral oil producers have started manufacturing packaging and, in addition, exporting Coex products.
1998
The company moved into its own factory building with a closed area of 6,500 square meters in the Istanbul Tuzla Chemical Industry Organized Industrial Zone. This building and its infrastructure were built specifically for a “plastic blow molding” factory. In addition to polyethylene and Coex bottles, it has also started producing polypropylene bottles. It has begun manufacturing for leading companies in the detergent market as well as for its mineral oil customers.
2003
Serdar Plastics has transitioned to the TS EN ISO 9001:2000 version.
2005
Coex increased its bottle and other polyethylene bottle production capacity by 40%. In addition, it began producing Coex bottles with triple-layer decoration features for mineral oil packaging.
2008
In addition to lubricant customers, it has also added the market’s leading detergent manufacturers to its customer portfolio.
2009
He expanded the machine park.
2010
By opening the Susurluk factory, it began producing six-layer ketchup packaging.
2011
In-house packaging production has begun with a leading detergent manufacturer in Turkey.
2012
We strengthened our sales team and expanded our customer portfolio by participating in domestic and international trade shows.
2013
As a result of approximately three years of R&D work, we have added a major export customer to our customer portfolio.
2014
A mold shop investment was made, and in addition to our own molds, we began manufacturing machines and technical parts. We obtained ISO 22000 certification. Work began on energy efficiency and energy recovery.
2015
Two more in-house facilities were established and commenced operations in Kırıkhan and Denizli. Additionally, our sister company SERPACK commenced operations at its new facility, focusing on IML and injection molding products.
2016
New customers operating in both the domestic and international food sectors have been added to our portfolio. In particular, our patented bucket, launched in 2015, has boosted our sales in the food sector.
2017
We participated in the Interpack trade fair, held every three years. We increased our exports by 100%.
2018
In addition to Tuyap, we participated in the Africa Food Manufacturing (Egypt), Rosupack (Russia), and Growtech (Turkey) trade fairs. We have begun working on a new patented product for the food industry.
2019
Alongside our domestic sales, we have also increased our export sales. Focusing particularly on the food sector, we have launched our patented multi-layer pasteurization-compatible packaging onto the market. In addition to participating in the Eurasia Packaging Fair every year, we have also attended sector-specific fairs such as Gulf Food Manufacturing and Growtech.
2020
Throughout the global Covid-19 pandemic, we continued production at all our factories and maintained our investments. We allocated significant budgets to electric blow molding and injection molding machines, as well as camera systems.
2021
Continuing our growth during the pandemic, we relocated our in-house facility in Hatay, Kırıkhan to a new 23,000 square meter location in Antakya OSB, taking regional growth into consideration. Additionally, as a result of our investments in electric and multi-layer blow molding machines, we have established Turkey’s first and only capacity to produce plastic bottles ranging from 50 ml to 30L using multi-layer recycled material.
